An internationally recognized artist and philanthropist whose work is featured in private and public collections around the world.
Her experimental approach to abstract painting, on different surfaces with acrylics, is both raw and developed, vulnerable and bold. Her art comes as an expression of her inner self and the voracious desire to share her interpretation for the world around her.
An active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, she currently serves as a member of the Arts and Letter Committee with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for the Hellenic Studies of Simon Fraser University.
Golfo grew up in a small Greek town on the coast of the Gulf of Corinth. She married young and moved to Vancouver in the 1970's to start a new life, raising five children and running a successful flower business.
